As the field of coaching matures, it is vital that coaches deepen their coaching practice by acquiring new practices, and learning new researched models and theories relevant to coaching. Understanding and being able to demonstrate use of new and researched approaches not only enhances one’s coaching practice, but also gives coaches a competitive edge in this exploding market. The Innovative Practices and Research track includes:
1. The presentation of new and unique coaching practices
2. New research on coaching
3. Innovative application of existing researched models to the practice of coaching.
In addition, presentations should reflect the two different themes of the conference: Lead Yourself and Reach Out: Connecting With Others. The theme of Lead Yourself includes presentations that specifically help coaches to be more competent in working with clients. The theme of Reach Out includes presentations that present new or innovative strategies in working with specific populations or individuals.
